2021 Summer Meals Program

The Abilene Big Country Hunger Coalition’s Summer Meals Program aims to address the 3 week gap between AISD’s summer meal services and the beginning of the school year.

We’ve partnered with local schools, parks, nonprofits, and more to provide free meal services for anyone!

The program started in the summer of 2018 with only three meal sites, and served 1,165 meals. By 2020, we increased to 11 sites and served a whopping 8,932 meals! We hope that this year, with 13 sites offering both dine-in and curbside, we will be able to serve more meals than ever!

A special thanks to our donors and host sites, who make this Summer Meals Program possible!
